Love Spell for August/September

Since we can only cast spells on ourselves, in accordance with our laws that say we do not interfere with the will of others, if we want love, we must first get ourselves to a space where we can receive love. One of my most favorite sayings is "Love is the Dance of Two Open Spaces."

We begin by entering the Field of Love. Because when you are with someone who makes you feel loved you are really and truly in a Field of Love with them - its Oceanic Bliss, floating, feeling at peace with all that is. This other person is actually reflecting the best qualities that live in you already. You are the love you seek in the world.

To get a clearer picture of this, begin by choosing a color that reminds you of the love you most want to feel. For me friendship love is yellow. Romantic love is red and Self love is pink. White is the color of Universal Love. But for you, if could be totally different. Buy a candle of the color for your intention, whatever feels right to you. Remember you are the magick.

Close your eyes and take three very deep breaths. Imagine that you are entering a field where you feel complete and total unconditional love. You feel peace and calm, happy and totally safe. Ask yourself: What else does this place feel like? What does it look like? Are there flowers? What kind? Is it warm, hot, cold? What do you look like? What are you wearing? What does it mean to be in your skin - in other words, what do you see, smell, hear, taste, feel? Write these things down and anything else that is important to you about what it means to feel love or happiness or joy or peace. It is very important that you do not attach any of these things to a particular person. It's most important that these are feelings that arise within you - not something that is outside of you - when you feel love. At the end of the paper write, "By My Will, So Mote it Be." Etch into the candle images that remind you of your Field of Love. Take six tea light candles, which will represent the most important aspects found in your Field of Love. Place the candles in a circle around your candle, about a foot away from. Read your answers by candlelight three times. Douse the flame. Place the paper under your pillow. If you wake and want to add anything to your list, that's okay, go ahead. Your Field of Love will change as you change. The next evening, move the tea light candles a little closer to your main candle. Light the candles and read the paper again. Douse the flame. Place the paper under your pillow. The next evening, move the tea light candles a little closer to your main candle. Light the candles and read the paper again. Allow the candles to burn all the way down while you imagine your Field of Love and all the aspects that make you feel love already living inside you. Add to your list three things that you are grateful for. Know that love is on its way to you.
